This position is responsible for managing a high volume litigation caseload from active dispute through resolution. The attorney will oversee case strategy, draft and respond to pleadings and discovery, handle negotiations, and drive cases toward settlement or litigation milestones as needed. Success in this role requires strong organization, consistent follow through, and the ability to move cases forward efficiently while maintaining quality.
The attorney will also collaborate closely with intake, support staff, and external partners to build and strengthen cases. This includes directing case development, ensuring deadlines are met, maintaining organized case files, and using case management systems effectively. Success in this role requires ownership, follow through, and the ability to balance legal quality with speed and volume.
Manage all phases of personal injury cases, including investigation, litigation, and resolution
Conduct client consultations and set clear expectations regarding case strategy and outcomes
Review and analyze medical records, police reports, and other evidence to support claims
Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery in state or federal court
Represent clients in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials
Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel
Maintain consistent communication with clients regarding case status and next steps
Track deadlines and ensure compliance with court procedures and internal processes
Collaborate with legal assistants, experts, and internal teams to advance cases
Evaluate case value and make strategic decisions based on legal and business considerations
Maintain accurate documentation and case records within the firm’s systems
Uphold all ethical and legal standards while advocating for clients
Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school (ABA approved preferred)
Active license to practice law in Texas, in good standing
Successful completion of the state bar exam and MPRE, if applicable
Strong understanding of personal injury law, civil litigation, and court procedures
Ability to manage a high volume caseload with attention to detail and deadlines
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts clearly
Ability to make sound decisions, prioritize effectively, and work within structured processes
Commitment to continuing legal education and staying current on legal and ethical standards
